U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released a free iPhone application that frequent travelers can use to bypass the customs line. For now, travelers can only use the iPhone application at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The application allows travelers to answer questions about their travel on their iPhones before arrival at the airport. CBP plans on releasing an Android application soon and is expected to expand usage of this technology to other international airports in the United States. Travelers will still need to carry their physical passports when returning to the country from international travel.
