Francisco O. Sanchez, a shareholder in the Miami office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been appointed to the board of directors of Americans for Immigrant Justice (AI Justice) for a three-year term.

AI Justice’s mission is to protect the basic human rights of immigrants through a unique combination of free direct services, impact litigation, policy reform, and public education at local, state, and national levels, according to the organization.

As a member of the board of directors, Sanchez will work to advance AI Justice’s mission of promoting immigrants’ rights by raising funds and awareness for AI Justice’s efforts.

“I am honored to join Americans for Immigrant Justice’s Board of Directors and play a pivotal role in protecting immigrants as they strive for a better – and often safer – way of life in America,” said Sanchez, a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Litigation Practice. “I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members whose experience in a variety of disciplines will no doubt be helpful in guiding initiatives that achieve AI Justice’s goals.”

At Greenberg Traurig, Sanchez assists clients in resolving disputes and achieving business objectives in the most cost-effective manner possible. In addition to handling complex commercial matters of various types, including federal and state court litigation, administrative proceedings, and international and domestic arbitrations, Sanchez conducts internal corporate investigations and advises clients regarding a variety of regulatory compliance and other internal corporate issues. His current client base comprises a variety of corporations and businesses with international operations in Latin America and elsewhere abroad.
